Prices and costs
The price of a website depends on its scope, features and content. Here you can see what the price depends on, which ongoing costs come on top and how you get a binding fixed price.
In a nutshell
The cost of a website depends mainly on the scope, the features and who provides the copy and images. At Webdesign Loch, there are four typical packages:
On top of that come ongoing costs for hosting and, if you wish, maintenance. After a free check, you always get a binding fixed-price quote, with no hidden costs.
Packages
You always get a one-time fixed price for concept, design and build. You'll learn your price after the free check.

Cost factors
Two websites can cost very different amounts even though they look similar at first glance. These six points make the difference.
A one-page website is quicker to build than a website with ten service pages, a team page, careers and a blog.
An adapted layout costs less than a completely custom design with many individual elements.
If you provide copy and photos yourself, you save money. If I write the copy, the effort increases, but in return it is tailored to Google and your customers.
Appointment booking, a members area, a configurator or integrations with other software cost extra.
WordPress is ideal for smaller websites, TYPO3 for large sites with many editors. Stores need a system of their own.
Each additional language and extensive search engine optimization increase the effort, but also bring greater reach.
| Service | What it covers | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Hosting and domain | Servers in Germany, your domain and email accounts | on request |
| SSL certificate | Encrypted connection (https), important for forms and Google | annually, on request |
| Maintenance and support | Updates, security monitoring, backups and small changes | on request, optional |
| Ongoing SEO | New content, local listings and a monthly report | on request, optional |
| Legal texts | Keeping the legal notice and privacy policy up to date, for example through a legal text service | depends on the provider |
Always included
Whether it's a one-page website or an online store: with me, you don't pay extra for these services.
Comparison
Website builders like Wix or Jimdo seem inexpensive at first glance. But you pay monthly fees indefinitely, are tied to the provider and have little room to maneuver on design, loading speed and SEO. That's often enough for a hobby project, but rarely for a business that wants to win inquiries.
Very cheap offers for a few hundred euros are usually based on templates without a concept. Copy, SEO and support are missing, and after launch you are on your own.
With a web designer like me, you pay more once, but you get a website that suits your business, belongs to you and brings in inquiries in a targeted way. And you have a dedicated contact person you can call.
Process
You send me your website or your idea. I get back to you within 24 hours with an honest assessment.
We clarify goals, pages and features, by phone or video call.
You get a binding quote covering all services. What it says is what applies.
The website only goes live once you are satisfied. A business website usually takes 4 to 8 weeks.
The price depends on the number of pages, the features and the copy. After the free check, you get a fixed-price quote.
The amount of work behind a website varies greatly: concept, design, copy, photos, features, SEO and support. Cheap offers often leave out exactly the parts that bring in inquiries later.
No. The fixed-price quote states exactly what is included. I tell you about ongoing costs such as hosting or maintenance in advance and separately.
At a minimum, hosting with a domain and SSL. For updates, security and backups, I recommend a maintenance contract. I tell you the costs in advance and separately. You can add SEO or social media as options.
The price of an online store depends on the number of products, variants, payment and shipping methods and integrations, for example with your inventory management system.
At first, yes. But over several years you keep paying fees, are tied to the provider and have little room to maneuver on design, loading speed and SEO. A website of your own belongs to you.
Yes. Many clients start with a one-page website or just a few pages and expand the website later. I plan it from the start so that extensions are possible without a rebuild.
Yes. If you provide copy and photos yourself, the effort goes down. I still review your copy for clarity and Google, so the website gets found.
About the same as a new website, often a bit less if good content can be carried over. With redirects, your existing Google rankings are preserved.
A one-page website is often ready in 2 to 3 weeks, a business website usually in 4 to 8 weeks. It also depends on how quickly copy and photos are available.
Free website check, an honest assessment and a reply within 24 hours, personally from me, not from a ticket system.
