Websites for clubs: win new members and take the load off your volunteers

Events, news, membership sign-up and sponsors in one place, easily updated by several volunteers. I build websites for clubs, schools and cultural projects that last a long time and take little work.

In brief

What a club website should do

For a club, the website is its digital office. Prospective members find out about activities and training times, parents look for contact persons, members check dates and sponsors want to be visible. At the same time, the website is usually maintained by volunteers who have little time and change often.

  • Win members: present your activities clearly and make signing up as easy as possible.
  • Events and news: training times, events and reports in one place.
  • Multiple editors: each department maintains its own section, with the right permissions.
  • Recognize sponsors: make partners visible and win new ones.
  • Data protection: careful handling of member data and photos, especially of children and teenagers.
  • Low running costs: stable technology that doesn't constantly need attention.

What matters

What your club website needs to do

For sports clubs, support associations, cultural and music projects, schools and nonprofit organizations.

Become a member

A clear path to membership or a trial session, with a form and the key information on fees.

Events and training times

Clearly organized by department, so no one has to ask in the group chat anymore.

News and reports

Match reports, concerts or school festivals with photos, published quickly from a smartphone.

Easy teamwork on updates

Several volunteers maintain their own sections without fear of breaking anything.

Make sponsors visible

Partners and supporters get a worthy place. That helps you win new backers.

Data protection for photos

Guidance and processes for consent, especially for pictures of children and teenagers.

Easy to maintain, even when the board changes

Many club websites become outdated because only one person knows how they work. I build them so that every new board member quickly finds their way around.

  • Clear structure: every department, every group and every event has its fixed place
  • Individual logins: for department heads, coaches or the press officer, each with the right permissions
  • Short guide: for reference, plus an introduction for new editors
  • Online training: for your editorial team, live with your own website

Process

How your club website comes together

  1. Free check

I look at your current website and talk with you about goals, departments and who will maintain it in the future.

  2. Concept and fixed price

Page structure, features and logins are defined. The board gets a binding quote.

  3. Implementation

I take care of design, technology and transferring your existing content. You provide photos and copy, and I can help with that if you like.

  4. Introduction and operation

Your editors get an introduction. Hosting in Germany and maintenance ensure worry-free operation.

Frequently asked questions from clubs

How much does a website for a club cost?

That depends on the size of the club and the features you want, such as an events calendar, a membership application or several departments. After the free check, the board gets a fixed-price quote.

Can several volunteers maintain the website?

Yes. Each person gets their own login with the right permissions, for example only for their own department. New editors can be added at any time.

Are we allowed to publish photos of members?

Generally with the consent of the people shown, and for children and teenagers, of their parents. I help you set up sensible processes on the website. This does not replace a legal review of individual cases.

Can new members sign up online?

Yes, for example with a form for a trial session or a membership application. The data reaches the club by email, and I only ask for sensitive information such as bank details if it is really necessary.

What happens when the board changes?

The website belongs to the club, not to a single person. Logins are simply handed over, and with a short introduction the new board quickly finds its way around, too.

Do you also build websites for schools?

Yes. In my references you will find, for example, the website of the August-Hermann-Francke-Schule. Schools have similar requirements to clubs: many editors, many dates and careful handling of photos.
