What exactly is checked?
The home page of your website, from the outside, just as visitors and Google see it: encryption and certificate, the detectable system and its update status, loading speed on mobile, first accessibility points, page title and sitemap for Google, and embedded services such as Google Fonts or tracking.
Is the check really free?
Yes. You need neither an account nor an email address. Only if you would like a detailed analysis do you enter your address, and that is free and without obligation too.
What can an automated check not detect?
Anything that is only visible with access: outdated extensions and plugins, missing backups, server settings and the content of subpages. That is what the personal analysis is for.
What happens to my data?
Only the checked address and the result are stored, so the same website is not checked over and over. For the speed measurement, Google receives the checked address but no data about you. Details are in the privacy policy (in German).
